An Arizona man who allegedly threatened to kill United States President-elect Donald Trump was arrested Monday.
Manuel Tamayo-Torres is accused of threatening Mr. Trump after making several threats against him and his family in a series of videos posted on Facebook, according to court documents.
While not directly identifying Donald Trump, court documents identify him as “Individual 1,” noting that he is a public figure, former president and current president-elect, according to CNN.
In a video posted to Facebook last Thursday, the suspect allegedly said: “(Individual 1) you are going to die, (Individual 1) your son is going to die. Your whole family is going to die, (Individual 1) This is reality now for you. That’s the only reality you have in your future, (Individual 1), to die.”
Manuel Tamayo-Torres also allegedly threatened to shoot Donald Trump by brandishing a possible “white AR 15 type rifle with a 30-round magazine inserted inside, the file states.
The suspect is also charged with felony counts of making false statements on federal forms. He allegedly tried to buy a weapon in Phoenix, Arizona.
