An American woman from Kentucky has been arrested and accused of dismembering her mother and cooking parts of her body.
Torilena Fields, 32, will appear in court Monday to answer charges of obstruction, tampering with physical evidence and contempt of an executive, Fox News reported Saturday.
The events date back to Wednesday when police were called by a busy contractor who was to begin landscaping work after discovering the body of a woman in the garden of a residence in Mount Olivet.
When they arrived at the scene, the police discovered the dismembered body of the victim lying in the grass near a blood-stained mattress on which parts of the corpse were located, according to the American media.
The climax of the horror was reached when the police found human remains in a pan in a kitchen oven, while the suspect, disoriented and uttering incantations, was forced outside after the use of tear gas .
The man who called police said he last saw the victim the day before when she was with her 32-year-old daughter who is being held at the Bourbon County Jail awaiting her appearance before a judge this Monday.
