The White House announced that tomorrow, April 2, will be one of the most important days in the history of the United States, noting that the monuments on us are over. And that President Donald Trump made his decision on customs duties and will announce it tomorrow, Wednesday.

House spokeswoman Caroline Levitte said that President Trump will take a historic action tomorrow to improve the American competitiveness, adding that Trump focuses on fulfilling his great commitment to maintaining the safety of the American people and defending our country.

In a general statement, she confirmed to reporters that companies that choose investment and manufacturing in the United States will not pay any customs fees.

The spokesman pointed out that President Trump is always open to receiving contacts from other countries regarding customs duties.

Trump has pledged to announce a wide customs duties plan, tomorrow, Wednesday, which was called “Liberation Day”, and will include the counter -tariffs that all countries will announce.

Trump looks at customs duties as a way to protect the American economy from an unfair global competition.

Liberation Day is a term used by President Trump to refer to April 2, 2025, where he intends to announce the imposition of customs duties on the trading partners of the United States, with the aim of correcting what Trump considers unfair commercial practices that negatively affected the American economy.

It is expected that the fees will include a wide range of imported products, with a focus on the sectors that Trump sees, are damaged by unfair commercial practices.

According to Trump’s advisers, these fees may generate about $ 600 billion annually, which means that the average fee rate on all goods will be about 20%.
