Dissatisfied with the verdict rendered Thursday during Donald Trump’s trial, his supporters unleashed a wave of hatred and threats against Judge Juan Merchan and the jurors.
Since Trump was found guilty of the 34 counts of falsification of accounting documents against him, messages calling for attacks on the judge and threatening jurors have been circulating on the web, notably in Truthsocial, the social network created by the former American president as well as in far-right forums.
“Someone in New York who has nothing to lose needs to take care of Merchan… Let’s hope he’s greeted by illegal immigrants with machetes,” said a MAGA supporter in the MAGA forum. far right “Patriot.Win”.
“A million (armed) men must go to Washington and hang everyone. This is the only solution,” added another, referring to the events of January 6, 2021 at the Capitol.
Other Internet users are calling for attacks on the jurors, whose identities have not been revealed.
““Doxx” the jurors (reveal their names and addresses). “Doxx them” now!” one user wrote after Trump’s conviction in a site formerly known as “The Donald,” popular among participants in the Capitol attack, according to NBC News.
“I hope that every juror will be doxxed and that they will pay for what they did,” another user wrote on the TruthSocial platform on Thursday.
“We have to identify every juror. Then make them miserable. Maybe even push them to suicide,” added another user in “The Donald”.
Hateful and violent messages have multiplied on these platforms since Thursday, with some Internet users, even more zealous, calling for armed conflict and war against the Democrats, according to NBC News.
