A man is wanted by the FBI for possibly robbing a bank in Texas while holding a child.
On June 6, shortly after 2 p.m., the suspect allegedly committed the robbery at the First Convenience Bank branch, located inside a Walmart in Fort Worth. The FBI Dallas Division on Friday asked for the public’s help in identifying the thief, who is believed to be between 35 and 45 years old.
“The robbery suspect walked up to the bank teller with a small child sitting in a shopping cart, then presented a note to the teller demanding money. After obtaining it, he pushed the child and the basket towards the store, then fled the scene while carrying the small child,” the federal police said in a press release shared on Facebook.
In this publication, the FBI also released a photo of the man as he left the scene with a little girl in his arms.
“It just amazed me. I mean, to think that poor little baby would be involved in something like that. But she’s too young to really understand what’s going on,” Fort Worth resident Shirley Ingram said in an interview with NBC 5.
As the thief has still not been arrested, the FBI is continuing its investigation.
