A new trend is emerging in the latest polls on voting intentions for the 2024 American presidential election; Donald Trump is on the rise at the national level, notes TVA Nouvelles contributor Stéphan Bureau.

“It didn’t happen often,” explains Mr. Bureau during an interview on the 10 p.m. bulletin. “Generally, the Democrats, in voting intentions across the country, are always a little ahead.”
This trend has been observable for around ten days, but it remains to be seen whether Donald Trump will be able to maintain it until November 5.
But this “trench war” between the Republican candidate and the Democratic candidate – as the analyst likes to imagine it – will not be played out on the national vote, but in key states, recalls Mr. Bureau.

“It’s one of his purple counties, which is neither Democratic nor Republican, but where he is capable of scoring points,” recalls the collaborator. “The States where we wage war are in each of the strategic counties.”
