A Disney ice show turned tragic last Saturday in Minneapolis, United States, when the skater who played Belle from “Beauty and the Beast” was seriously injured in a fall.
Anastasia Olsen, 31, fell during a lift and was quickly transported to a hospital, according to a press release cited by several media.
Hospitalized since then at the Hennepin County Medical Center, the skater’s condition, initially judged to be critical, was still considered serious on Monday.
“It happened about 40 minutes into the show. They were doing a lift, he seemed to shake and she fell,” a spectator named Beka told local media Kake 11. The latter thanked the Disney on Ice team who continued the show despite everything to “preserve the magic for children”.
“I know it must have been very difficult,” she added.
The show was presented at the Target Center from February 9 to 11.
