The outcome of the race for the White House, which pits Democrat Kamala Harris against Republican Donald Trump, will be decided in a few key states that will likely be the scene of a close fight, according to the latest polls.

Indeed, to win a mandate as president of the United States, candidates will have to focus their energy on the Rust Belt states in the north and the Sun Belt states in the south.
The Rust Belt states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin were the ones that gave President Joe Biden victory in the 2020 presidential election.
In the south, Arizona, which fell to the Democrats in 2020, is likely to be coveted by Republicans in the November election. North Carolina, which has been dominated by Republicans since the 1970s, could create a surprise of its own, as pollsters put Kamala Harris ahead there.
Robeson County, a Democratic stronghold that joined Donald Trump’s Republicans in 2016 following several factory closures, will certainly be among the destinations that Kamala Harris will visit during her campaign.
