Police in Tampa, Florida, nabbed a 22-year-old American woman who allegedly posed as a home-schooled student in order to maintain relationships with minors.

Alyssa Zinger was arrested on November 24 after authorities were informed of an inappropriate relationship she was having with a young boy aged 12 to 15.

According to what the Tampa Police Department revealed, the suspect made contact with her victim via a social network by posing as a home-schooled student. The investigation suggests that Zinger could have caused other victims.

“It is disturbing to see an adult take advantage of and prey on a child,” said Chief Lee Bercaw, inviting anyone who may have been a victim of such a scheme to file a complaint. “The Tampa Police Department will support you and ensure that a predator like Zinger does not cause … further harm.”

A Florida woman claimed to be a 14-year-old homeschooled child to prey on middle schoolers for sex, police announced Friday.
