Joe Biden’s speech Monday night at the Democratic convention was a success, according to analysts Joëlle Boutin, Antoine Robitaille and Marc-André Leclerc, but the latter claims to have felt uneasy about the warm ovation received by the current president of the United States.

According to Mr. Leclerc, the Democrats applauded Joe Biden to the hilt, while they did everything they could to ensure that he gave way to Kamala Harris. They didn’t want him anymore, he claims.
“We love you Joe, we love you Joe, but we love you because you’re leaving,” the analyst summed up on TVA.
He also pointed out that Mr. Biden has already left the Democratic convention to go on vacation at home.
Joëlle Boutin believes that Democrats also wanted to highlight what Joe Biden did for the country during his presidency and throughout his political career.
What she remembers most from Monday was Hillary Clinton’s speech, which spearheaded the new message and the new face of the Democratic Party.
“They want Mme Harris embodies renewal. They want to reposition the Democratic Party as the positive and unifying party of Americans; the party of workers, versus the Republicans, who divide the country, who are very negative about the future of the country,” argues Joëlle Boutin.
For his part, Antoine Robitaille believes that Joe Biden looked much better on Monday night than he did during his debate with Donald Trump. The analyst believes that the American president was able to live up to his rather positive record.
“It’s a presidency that is still important. It’s a presidency that has given back a certain place to unions. We saw Joe Biden go to picket lines. That’s not nothing; we had rarely seen that (…) The economy is still doing very well, despite what his opponent keeps saying,” he says.
