Two off-duty New York police officers were arrested Tuesday for sexually assaulting an intoxicated woman.

Julio Alcantara-Santiago, 40, and Christian Garcia, 32, were accused of sexually assaulting an unidentified woman on July 9 after a drunken evening at a Grand Concourse bar.

When the victim came to his senses when he woke up in the morning in an apartment, an acquaintance went to a hospital in the Bronx where doctors confirmed the presence of the DNA of the two suspects, according to what the “New YorkPost.”

Images from a surveillance camera obtained by investigators show the two police officers leaving the licensed Zona De Cuba establishment with the victim who could not stand or walk alone.

The woman being driven into an apartment was “standing with her eyes closed, mouth open, unable to stand on her own and was constantly falling,” the Internal Affairs Bureau investigator recounted in the complaint.

The two police officers suspended without pay were accused of criminal sexual acts, sexual abuse and forcible touching, the police force told the New York newspaper.
