On Wednesday, Türkiye and Indonesia signed an agreement to establish a joint venture to build a Turkish drone factory in Indonesia.
The Anatolia Agency reported that the agreement took place between the Turkish “Bacar” companies and “Riblikorp”, during the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Indonesia.
According to the agreement, 60 “Bayrakdar TB3” and 9 “Bayrakdar Aqenji” aircraft will be exported to Indonesia, and the “Bayradar T3” plane, which was developed by “Baikar”, is characterized by its ability to take off and land from ships with short runways And implement surveillance and monitoring tasks and collect intelligence information, as well as carrying ammunition and smart weapons.
Promote trade between the two countries
In a joint statement consisting of 64 articles issued by the two countries, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Indonesian counterpart Praboo Sobanto confirmed their intention to achieve a $ 10 billion billion trade by 2026.
The statement indicated, according to Anatolia, that this goal will be achieved by developing a preferential commercial agreement and expanding it to a comprehensive economic partnership.
The two sides also agreed to enhance cooperation in the fields of trade, defense, energy and infrastructure, in conjunction with the celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Strategic defensive partnership
Anatolia stated that the two countries agreed to strengthen their partnership in the field of defense, including the establishment of representative offices for Turkish defense industries companies in Indonesia, and the expansion of joint training opportunities in the areas of cybersecurity, intelligence and terrorism, and periodic meetings will be held between foreign ministers and defense to ensure the implementation of strategic cooperation agreements.
The statement affirmed the commitment of the two countries to combat all types of crimes, including cross -border and terrorist crimes, and to enhance cooperation between the intelligence services and the police to assess security risks.
Infrastructure and energy projects
The joint statement stressed the importance of cooperation in infrastructure and energy projects. Türkiye and Indonesia have agreed to establish the “Turkish-Indonesian infrastructure forum” to study cooperation opportunities in this field.
The two sides also welcomed the participation of Turkish companies in strategic projects, including building 3 million housing units within the Indonesian National Housing Project, and the development of the new capital “Nosantara”.
In the field of energy, the two parties expressed their commitment to developing renewable energy sources, including ground thermal energy, and enhancing innovation in the field of clean energy technology.
Enhancing cultural and educational relations
The statement stressed the importance of strengthening cultural and academic ties between the two peoples, in a way that contributes to mutual understanding and long -term cooperation.
Indonesia also expressed its intention to host the Turkish “Technopst” festival for aviation and technology in 2026 or 2027, to enhance cooperation in the fields of science, technology and engineering.
Support the Palestinian issue
The joint statement affirmed the support of the two countries for the rights of the Palestinian people and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the principle of the two -state solution.
The two leaders strongly condemned the crimes committed by Israel against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and demanded that those responsible be held accountable in accordance with international law.
The statement also stressed the importance of delivering humanitarian aid safely and quickly to Gaza during the ceasefire, and rejected any attempts to force the Palestinians forcibly from the Strip.
