Ever since Donald Trump claimed during the debate that Haitian immigrants would eat pets in Springfield, Ohio, a flood of memes has appeared on the web, and not just from the Democrats.

Humorous videos are now visible on social media about this fake news which was quickly denied after the Republican candidate’s comments made on Tuesday evening.
Whether it’s a cat that seems terrified when hearing Donald Trump’s false statement or a dog placed between two slices of bread, many Internet users have quickly twisted the Republican’s statements.
Some have also taken a lot of inspiration from the Simpson family to include them in these memes, since the animated series comes from Springfield.
While we tend to think that it was mainly people of Democratic allegiance who wanted to twist the former president’s remarks to ridicule his camp, some Republicans are also adding to the controversy.
For example, the Republican campaign in Arizona has displayed giant signs with the slogan “Eat fewer kittens, vote Republican,” which has shocked many.
Donald Trump himself shared on his social network Truth an image generated by artificial intelligence of a cat holding a sign saying “Kamala hates me”.
Senator Ted Cruz also came up with a meme featuring kittens to encourage citizens to vote Republican.
