Six months (almost to the day) before the American presidential election, The newspaper is launching, today, special coverage dedicated to this election which arouses passions all over the planet.

Who, former Republican President Donald Trump or the current Democratic President, Joe Biden, will win the favor of Americans on November 5?

Will our southern neighbors give back the keys to the White House to Trump, despite his troubles with the law? Or will they put their trust in Biden again, when his health sometimes seems to falter?

Four expert columnists

To try to see clearly, The newspaper has mobilized four expert columnists, who will contribute to this coverage which you will find in our “World” section.

The first Saturday of the month, pollster Jean-Marc Léger will analyze movements in American public opinion for our readers. Discover his first column here.

Live from Washington, our columnist Richard Latendresse will take his look at the state of the Democratic and Republican troops and explain what we should remember from the week that has just ended. You can read it here.

In turn, our columnists Luc Laliberté and Pierre Martin, two specialists in American politics, will examine in detail the most recent performances of the Republican and Democratic candidates.

They will take turns looking at Trump and Biden, each of whom they will follow for a month before changing roles.

To begin with, it is Luc Laliberté who will follow Donald Trump. You can read his first column here.

As for Pierre Martin, which you can read here, he will devote the first month of this adventure to analyzing Joe Biden’s performance.

Repercussions

We are convinced that our readers will appreciate the informed opinions of these four columnists in the run-up to this presidential election, the repercussions of which could be very important for the planet.

Good reading!
