Donald Trump will veto a national abortion ban if he becomes president again, Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance said Sunday.

“I can absolutely commit to that,” he said on NBC during an interview on the show Meet the Press.
“My point is, if you don’t support this as president of the United States, you basically have to veto it,” Vance added.
The Republican Party prefers to leave it up to the states to decide what laws they want to impose.
“If California wants different abortion rights than Ohio, Ohio has to respect California and California has to respect Ohio,” Trump’s running mate said.
“Let the states choose what they want as abortion laws,” he said.
