(Washington) Donald Trump, who attacked many big American names in the press, described media covers to him too negative “illegal” on Friday.

Posted at 6:32 p.m.

Evoking the television channels more particularly, the American president, a large consumer of the small screen, said: “They will take a story very well. And they will make it a bad story. You see, personally, I think it’s illegal ”.

Thursday, the 79 -year -old Republican had mentioned the license suspension for the channels that are “against (him)”.

He still repeated on Friday that, on some television channels, “97 %” of the coverage dedicated to him was negative.

Donald Trump has also resolutely defeated the boss of the American audiovisual regulator (FCC), Brendan Carr.

The latter had criticized the humorist’s statements Jimmy Kimmel concerning the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a relative of Donald Trump, and openly threatened his sanctions broadcasters. Shortly after, the ABC channel had withdrawn from the antenna the program “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” ».

“I think Brendan Carr is a patriot” who “does not like the waves to be used in an illegally and incorrect manner,” said the American president.

The threats made by the boss of the FCC have created discomfort in certain conservatives, who find it difficult to compatible with freedom of expression.

“I think it is particularly dangerous for a government to put himself in a position to say what speech he likes or he does not like. I like Brendan Carr but we must not venture into it, ”said Republican senator Ted Cruz in a podcast.
