There is something I don’t understand.
Actually, two.
First: how can you be a French-speaking Quebecer and be a federalist?
And second, subject of this column: why are millions of Americans preparing to vote for Trump?
The anti-system?
Yes, I understand the frustration of workers who feel disrespected by the elite, the frustration of the “losers of globalization” who see their factory relocated to India, the ordinary people who are fed up with wokism and who have justified fears in the face of mass immigration…
And I understand why many Americans just want to make a big “f**k you» to the system which, they judge, has abandoned them.
All this seems well-founded and legitimate to me.
But Trump?
Really?
Is he the one they choose to channel their anger? Carry their torch? Vocalize their rage?
Trump is not anti-system, he is the system pushed to its maximum!
“Take the money and run!»
This guy isn’t asking what he can do for his country, but what his country can do for HIM.
Not for “the people”, he doesn’t give a damn about the people, to paraphrase Kendrick Lamar, he would like to have a penis as big as the Eiffel Tower to fuck him, the people!
All that interests him is HIM, HIM’S interests, HIM’S finances, HIM’S power, HIM’S ego!
On your knees in front of Hollywood
Are there really people who believe that Trump will defend their interests and work for them?
But this guy would sell his mother for a little power! He would dismantle his country and sell every parcel to the highest bidder!
Look at how this chronic liar treated everyone who supported and defended him over the years, at the risk of undermining their own careers and reputations: he threw them all under the wheels of the bus to save his own skin!
He is loyal to no one, respects no one, owes nothing to anyone.
Yes, I understand that the average American is tired of being lectured by Hollywood multimillionaires who call themselves green, but have 15 houses of 35 rooms each and two private planes.
This week again, Joe Biden went to court them to fill his coffers, they were all there, the George Clooneys and Julia Roberts and Jimmy Kemmel and Barbra Streisand, who say they are in solidarity with “small workers”, but who do not hesitate twice seconds to star in Chinese-financed films, and who proudly wear their “MeToo” t-shirts even though they spent their careers looking the other way when a makeup artist got her ass kicked by the producers signing their big checks .
This is all perfectly understandable…
But Trump?
King Kong vs. Godzilla
Who knows? Maybe that’s the idea…
“The system runs on money and ego? Perfect, we’re going to send you a man who embodies these values more than any other, we’re going to give you your change, throw the monster you created at your feet!
Are you acting like King Kong?
Meet Godzilla, a mutant created by your own radioactive waste!
