(Washington) Donald Trump announced Monday that he would classify fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid responsible for numerous overdoses in the United States, as a “weapon of mass destruction”.

“With the executive order that I will sign today, we are formally classifying fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction, which it is. No bomb does what (this drug) does,” the US president said.
