(Washington) Donald Trump again attacked his black bane James Comey, former FBI director on Friday, calling him “crooked cop” and “corrupt” in the aftermath of his charges, which came after pressures from the American president in his department of justice.

Former chief of the elderly federal police, James Comey, 64, is prosecuted for false declaration and hinders justice “in relation to his oral testimony before the judicial commission of the Senate” in 2020, according to the Department of Justice.

He was then questioned within the framework of the FBI investigation into the supposed links between Russia and the first presidential campaign of Donald Trump in 2016. A year later, in 2017, he was dismissed by the Republican President.

James Comey “lied!” It is not a complex lie, it is a very simple, but important lie. There is no way for him to get out of it. He is a crooked cop, and he has always been, “wrote Donald Trump in a publication on his Truth Social platform.

“He knew exactly what he was saying, and that it was a very serious lie with important consequences, for which a high price must be paid! Added Donald Trump.

The American president publicly put the pressure this weekend in the Department of Justice to pursue those who put sticks in the wheels more quickly, increasing fears of the Democratic opposition on a risk of questioning the separation of powers.

Five years in prison

The interested party quickly replied in a video published on Instagram: “I’m not afraid”. “Fear is the weapon of tyrants,” added James Comey.

“My family and I have known for years what it costs to oppose Donald Trump,” he said, calling for not living “on my knees” against the president.

“I have confidence in federal justice and I am innocent,” concluded the ex-head of the FBI.

According to the Secretary of Justice, James Comey faces up to five years’ imprisonment.

Kash Patel, the current Patron of the FBI, insured on X Friday that “FBI agents, intelligence specialists and staff members conducted Comey and other people. They made the necessary decisions ”.

“The completely false accusations that attack the FBI about the politicization of the law comes from the same bankrupt media that have sold the” Russia Gate “to the whole world-it is excessive hypocrisy,” he added.

In a report in 2019, the FBI had concluded that the evidence of collusion between Moscow and Donald Trump was insufficient, but had raised a series of disturbing pressures exerted by the president on the investigation.

Since the return to power of Donald Trump in January after a campaign during which he had sworn to take revenge on his political opponents, the American authorities have launched several investigations against personalities considered hostile to the Republican, including James Comey and the former CIA director John Brennan.
