Graduates of a high school in Illinois would not have hesitated to raise the decibels in the corridors of the establishment last Thursday to play a prank on their principal, hiring a professional bagpipe player to follow him step by step. not.

“I was looking at mariachi groups on Pinterest, the idea was to have him (the principal) followed everywhere,” laughed young Maggie Moore, a student at Richwoods Secondary School, in Peoria Journal Star Friday. But it was around Cinco de Mayo and the prices were very high.”

Last Thursday, the young woman and her accomplice, Pierce Hill, another student, allegedly hired a professional bagpipe player to follow their school principal, Billy Robison, non-stop for an hour, we can see in a video reported by the New YorkPost.

Initially, the duo wanted to hire a mariachi troupe, but due to the high prices, they chose to hire a bagpipe player instead. The joke would have been pre-approved by administrators of the establishment, according to the English-speaking media.

For the 34-year-old musician invited to the scene, Scott Whitman, the request from the two students was a first.

“We receive quite a few requests for concerts. Most are funerals or weddings. Maybe a birthday. But it was my first request for a grad prank,” the bagpipe player reportedly told Peoria Journal Star, according to NY Post.

But even if the aim of the harmless prank was to irritate the principal, the latter, a good sport, would have rather been delighted by the creativity of his students.

“All credit to the students for coming up with something that isn’t destructive to the school and the custodians don’t have to clean up afterwards. It was a lot of fun, so I found it incredible,” he said, according to the English-speaking media.
