In two days, nearly 400 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid entered the Gaza Strip. Not yet enough to meet the needs of a bloodless population according to NGOs.

The truce agreement between Hamas and the Israeli authorities also includes the entry of humanitarian aid and fuel into Gaza. A total of 248 humanitarian aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip on Saturday. 61 delivered water, food and medical equipment to the north of the territory, according to the UN.

In Rafah, the gas bottles are filling again, but for how long? This is not enough, says Abu Mahmoud Qita, owner of a gas station:

“What is 80 tons for the entire Gaza Strip? It’s nothing… Bakeries have stopped functioning in the Gaza Strip, as have restaurants and kitchens. People bake their bread in drink.”

“This four-day truce, we pray to God that it lasts or that the war ends,” testifies Shams al-Babli, resident of Gaza.

The Israeli army considers the northern third of the Gaza Strip a combat zone. She ordered the population not to return.

Despite this warning, thousands of displaced Gazans took advantage of the break in fighting to try to return home.
