Two 19-year-old men from California who allegedly posed as Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to rob Hispanic victims have been arrested by police.
Laurentiu Baceanu and Vasile Alexandru approached their victims, posing as immigration agents, to ask them in Spanish to give them their money, Anaheim police said, cited by the “New York Post” on Tuesday.
The two suspects who extorted money from their victims subsequently fled in their blue Audi Q7 sport utility vehicle, but they were quickly spotted by police in the neighboring town of Fullerton where they were arrested on Thursday.
The two fake public officials who risk facing several charges in connection with the robbery are being held in detention without bail, according to investigators who believe that the two suspects could have caused other victims, added the American media.
