The Israeli occupation forces continued their raids into several cities and towns in the West Bank, arresting 16 Palestinians from different areas, while the Ministry of Health announced a new toll of Palestinian martyrs since October 7.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of the young man, Hamza Bashkar, by Israeli occupation forces’ bullets at the Huwwara checkpoint, south of Nablus.

Sources confirmed to Manhattan Tribune that the occupation forces prevented ambulance crews from reaching the scene of the accident and treating the young man.

The occupation forces detained Bashkar’s body after claiming that he attempted to stab a soldier yesterday at the military checkpoint on Huwwara Street.

Manhattan Tribune’s correspondent also reported that Israeli forces stormed east of the city of Nablus and headed towards the Badhan area, where they set up a military checkpoint.

The Israeli occupation forces withdrew from Balata camp, east of the city, after storming it earlier.

The Manhattan Tribune correspondent added that explosions were heard in the camp, and that clashes took place between Palestinian resistance fighters and the occupation forces before they withdrew from the camp.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that a woman and a young man were injured after Israeli soldiers assaulted them during the storming of Balata camp, east of Nablus.

New toll

The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that the death toll of Palestinians killed by Israeli army gunfire and settlers in the West Bank had risen to 288 since October 7, in addition to 3,430 wounded.

For its part, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club announced that the number of arrests rose on Saturday to 4,520 after 16 Palestinians were arrested on Saturday night from several governorates.

The Israeli army is intensifying its operations in towns and cities in the West Bank, in parallel with a devastating war that it has been waging on the Gaza Strip since the seventh of last October.

As of Friday, the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip had left 18,800 martyrs and 51,000 wounded, most of them children and women, massive infrastructure destruction and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, according to official Palestinian sources.
