Nearly 3,900 Cybertrucks, the latest futuristic pick-up from American manufacturer Tesla, are being recalled because of a problem with the accelerator pedal that could get stuck and cause an accident, according to the American Safety Agency. highway safety (NHTSA).

“Blocking the accelerator pedal can cause the vehicle to accelerate unintentionally, increasing the risk of an accident,” specifies a notice from the Agency, notified on Wednesday by the manufacturer.
She explains that this pedal is likely “to become dislodged and stuck” and that 3878 Cybertrucks are affected by this recall.
This concerns all pickups manufactured between November 13, 2023 and April 4, 2024, indicates the organization, noting that Tesla had received a report from a customer on March 31 regarding this problem.
The electric vehicle specialist will “replace or repair the defective mechanism” free of charge, specifies the NHTSA.

Cybertrucks manufactured from April 17 will be equipped with a new model of this equipment, just like those that have not yet been handed over to their owners.
