Tesla – the electric car manufacturer – intends to launch its business in Saudi Arabia next month, as it announced in a post on its website.
Electric cars are sold to the company affiliated with Elon Musk in other countries in the Middle East, but not in Saudi Arabia, which is the largest market in the Gulf region.
Europe sales
Tesla witnessed a decline in electric car sales in Europe, targeted a wave of brand protests in the United States since it became Mask, the company’s CEO, as an advisor to US President Donald Trump and began to make wide discounts for the federal government.
The post stated that the launch ceremony in Riyadh, scheduled for April 10, will display the Tesla electric cars and their solar powered products.
“They tested the future of self -leadership with Cyber Cap, and they met Optimos, our human -like robot, while we show what is coming in the field of artificial intelligence and robots,” he added, without explaining when the products will be offered for sale in the Kingdom.
Tesla sales and market share in Europe decreased this year despite the growth of electric cars registration on the continent.
Data issued by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association on Tuesday showed that Tesla sales decreased by 42.6% in Europe since the beginning of the year, as it raises controversy in the world.
“Driving Tesla”
Activists in the United States organized the so -called “Tesla” protests due to the role of Mask in the leadership of government efficiency management, which removed thousands of jobs, froze external aid and canceled thousands of programs and contracts.
The Wall Street Journal reported in 2023 that Saudi Arabia was holding talks in its early stages with Tesla to establish a factory in the Kingdom, and the mask denied this report at the time.
The Kingdom seeks to turn its economy away from oil, and its sovereign fund is the largest investor in the Lwsid Group, one of the startups in the field of electric cars looking to compete with Tesla.
