A 15-year-old girl was found dead in an apartment in Lowell, United States. Her boyfriend, a 21-year-old man, was arrested for murder and home invasion, several American media reported.
Ahliana Dickey was scheduled to attend her graduation on June 14. She never showed up.
Worried, her family returned home to try to find her. When she arrived at the residence, she found the teenager on the bathroom floor, covered in gunshot wounds.
“A positive person. Really positive. If I’m depressed, she cheers me up. She wanted to do great things in life,” her friend Skyla Guthrie told CBS News.
Trevor Bady is the first suspect arrested. He was the victim’s boyfriend.

According to Lowell police, the couple was in a toxic relationship: the man allegedly hit and threatened the girl several times.
Some neighbors called the authorities on the morning of June 14 to report a dispute between the two individuals. A witness allegedly heard Ahliana Dickey tell Trevor Bady: “Get off me, get away from me. I don’t want to be with you anymore.”
The witness finally heard the gunshots before contacting the police.
A few days before, the teenager reportedly told a source that her boyfriend had threatened to “kill” her and “kill her grandmother.”
Authorities also obtained video that shows the man leaving the home shortly after midnight on June 14. Observing the suspect’s financial accounts, he allegedly took an Uber before and after the crime.
Trevor Bady remains in custody. He appeared in court on several charges, including murder and home invasion.
