A California elementary school teacher faces serious sex crime charges after allegedly having intimate relationships with two boys.
Jacqueline Ma, 34, if convicted of the ten counts brought against her, faces a sentence of life in prison.
Originally from San Diego, the teacher was the subject of a first complaint last March, when a 12-year-old boy allegedly informed his mother that he had received oral sex.
The complaint received by authorities alleged that the student and Jacqueline Ma had had an “inappropriate relationship.”
The day after the complaint was filed, the American woman was arrested by the police because they had enough evidence to question her.
Surprisingly, the Californian was declared “teacher of the year” in 2022 by her school district.
Released on $100,000 bail, the professor allegedly tried to contact her alleged victim shortly after.
Imprisoned again for this act, the accused remained detained until July, while a new alleged victim came forward, reports Inside Edition.
The complaint alleges that the teacher behaved inappropriately with an 11-year-old child.
According to information obtained by the San Diego Union Tribune, Jacqueline Ma took off her shirt and tried to get closer to her victim when they were alone in the class.
The accused has pleaded not guilty to all charges filed against her.
The rest of the legal proceedings are scheduled for January, where Ma will have to appear in court.
