Faked images of American singer Taylor Swift, proudly holding a flag in support of former US President Donald Trump on the Grammy’s red carpet, set the internet ablaze on Monday, sowing doubt among many Internet users.
“Trump won, the Democrats cheated”, can we read on a flag that the American singer appears to be holding on the red carpet of the Grammy’s on Sunday, in a doctored video on the X platform, and which had reached more than 10.3 million views Thursday according to NBC News.

The incident comes just weeks after fake sexual photos of the singer, generated by artificial intelligence (AI), were viewed more than 45 million times before being removed, after being shared on the same platform towards the end of January.
But this time, the copies of the video were not removed from absent from some more recent shares.
According to the American media, at least eight publications containing the manipulated video out of the 13 still online did not display the warning notice – and one of them had already accumulated more than 72,000 views on Thursday.
“We took action on nearly 100 posts on February 4, 2024, as part of our synthetic and manipulated media policy. We are actively monitoring and when publications are discovered, they will also be labeled,” a representative for X told the American media.
The video was also re-shared around ten times on YouTube, twice on TikTok and once on Instagram, again according to NBC News.
At the same time, the profile on year, giving a pro-Trump speech on stage, using technology to clone his voice, NBC News noted.
