(Detroit) The man who died while attacking a synagogue in suburban Detroit, Michigan on Thursday shot himself in the head, FBI agent Jennifer Runyan said at a press conference Friday.

While the perpetrator was identified as a 41-year-old Lebanese man who lost family members in an Israeli attack in Lebanon earlier this month, “it would be irresponsible for me to speculate on his motive” for attacking this Jewish place of worship, added this member of the American federal police.
