A source in the Sudanese Ministry of Energy and Oil said that Sudan had informed the government of South Sudan that the Sudanese authorities issued directives to oil companies to start closing the oil ore pipeline from South Sudan to export ports in Port Sudan, according to Al -Jazeera correspondent in Sudan.

In a message to his southern Sudanese counterpart, Sudanese Minister of Energy and Oil, Mohiuddin Naim, attributed the move to attacks by rapid support forces on oil installations in Sudan.

The letter indicated that a march plane attacked on May 9th this May a pumping station in the Al -Houdi area, east of Atbara, in the state of the Nile, which resulted in severe losses, and a day before it attacked a warehouse march in the White Nile state.

The letter also indicated that the attacks on the electricity stations caused the power out of the marine stations, which affected its ability to load crude oil simultaneously, in addition to that targeting warehouses threatens a sharp deficiency in the fuel supplies necessary for transportation systems.

The Sudanese Civil Defense had announced earlier today, Sunday, “completely” control of the fires that erupted in the main oil warehouses and other locations in the city of Port Sudan, which the government has been heading for nearly two years.

“We fully controlled all fires with strategic warehouses and various locations in Port Sudan in light of extremely complex conditions and petroleum stocks in large quantities,” said all fires in a highly complex conditions and petroleum stocks in large quantities. “

The Sudanese authorities accused the Rapid Support Forces of launching an attack with a path that led to fire in the main fuel depot in the eastern city on the Red Sea. She then warned of a “possible disaster” in the area due to the spread of fire in “fueled” warehouses.

Port Sudan remained largely immune to the violence that Sudan has been witnessing since mid -April 2023, with the outbreak of the war between the army led by Abdel -Fattah al -Burhan and the Rapid Support Forces led by Muhammad Hamdan Duqlo, known as Hamidati.

In addition to taking a temporary headquarters of the government, international organizations, diplomatic missions and hundreds of thousands of displaced moved to Port Sudan.

These attacks were disrupted vital facilities, such as the fuel depot, the main power station, the Port Sudan port and its international civil airport, which is considered “the lifeblood of humanitarian operations”, according to the United Nations.
