Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on Monday urged European Union member states to respond to Spain and Ireland’s request to suspend the free trade agreement between the bloc and Israel, due to its crimes in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
The Spanish Prime Minister stressed the need for Israel to stop its dual invasion of Gaza and Lebanon, stressing that preventing the export of weapons to Israel is important, because it is still bombing civilians in the Strip.
For several months, Spain and Ireland have been holding talks with other European Union countries that want to conduct a review of the Association Agreement between the Union and Israel, due to Tel Aviv’s violation of the human rights clause in the agreement.
