Levi Wright, the 3-year-old son of rodeo star Spencer Wright and his wife Kallie, died Sunday after a two-week hospitalization following a toy tractor accident.
His family made the heartbreaking decision to pull the plug after having “numerous discussions with the best neurologists in the world,” according to reports from People magazine.
The boy fell into a river on May 21 while driving his miniature vehicle. He was reportedly removed from the water quickly before resuscitation measures were undertaken. The child became brain dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. His parents tried everything to bring him back to life.
“Levi was a good little boy. It will be difficult to live without him,” Mindy Sue Clark, a family friend, told People magazine.
Spencer Wright, who is currently ranked 35th in the world in his discipline, has won numerous awards since he began his rodeo career in high school. He won the World Championship in 2014 and the Rio Grande Valley Livestock in 2024 in Texas.
