A 17-year-old American rapper who filmed himself for social media while holding a gun to his head is believed to have died after accidentally pulling the trigger last week.
“My aunt recently lost her 17-year-old son to a gunshot wound to the head. It was his only son! (…) We are still trying to understand why (it happened),” lamented a cousin of the young victim on Thursday in a GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign.
The day before, young Rylo Huncho was found dead in a home in Suffolk, Virginia, after having apparently handled a weapon as part of the filming of a video for social networks, the “New York Post” reported on Monday. .
In the images circulating on social networks, but which the QMI Agency preferred not to share due to their graphic nature, we can see the young man dancing while handling the weapon, equipped with a green light, before place it on the side of his head.

It was then that he was interrupted mid-sentence by an explosion, before the phone slipped from his hands.
Although the police did not want to confirm the identity of the young victim, they nevertheless put forward the hypothesis of an “accidental gunshot wound” to the head, to the American media.
It’s unclear how the images, since removed from Instagram, made their way to social media in the first place, but they had reached more than 1.7 million views in a re-share on X on Tuesday.
For their part, the dismayed family was still trying to raise funds for their bereaved mother.
“Anything can help him in this moment of need. He was her only child, she was also an only child, it was always her and her son,” her cousin continued on GoFundMe.
