A boy aged just 11 years old was allegedly handcuffed in connection with a series of armed robberies that he committed with two older accomplices, himself threatening employees of various convenience stores with a firearm.
“Early this morning, a group of people dressed in masks and dark clothing entered convenience stores and gas stations… armed with firearms. The suspects fled with stolen merchandise and cash,” the Seattle Police Department said in a statement Friday, according to ABC News.
At the beginning of the afternoon, local police were looking to catch three individuals after a series of four armed robberies that occurred between 5:25 a.m. and 6:50 a.m. in establishments in the neighborhoods of Georgetown, Rainier Valley and High Point. and West Seattle, we can read.
In each of the convenience stores, the three individuals allegedly pulled out their weapon in front of the clerk, before demanding, in some cases, the contents of the cash register, or even merchandise.
In images shared by the police, we can see the three suspects pointing a weapon in turn towards the employee of a Food Mart.

They then fled in a stolen blue Kia sedan which had not been declared by its owner, according to the press release, when it was found “broken down and unoccupied”, after a witness reported seeing him driving “erratically” before hitting the curb.
Except that the same evening, around 8:30 p.m., the three accomplices allegedly attempted a repeat offense by attacking another establishment in a neighboring jurisdiction, before fleeing again aboard a Hyundai Silver also stolen, Seattle police said.
But this time, they were reportedly intercepted by Tukwila police, who ended their escape after a foot chase involving police dogs.
Fortunately, no one was reportedly injured during these five armed robberies.
Two men aged 19 and 21 were immediately sent to King County Jail, while the boy, only 11 years old, was detained in a child and family justice center, according to the police force. They will face robbery charges.
