The Saudi Ministry of Agriculture said today, Tuesday, through its official account on the social networking site “X” that the Kingdom signed with China 57 agreements in Beijing for agricultural products worth 14 billion riyals (3.73 billion dollars).
31 agreements focus on greenhouses, livestock, poultry, and fish wealth, while 26 agreements to export agricultural products to Chinese markets.

Meetings
This came a day after the meeting of the Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Mohsen Al -Fadhli, with Chinese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Han John, and Chinese Water Resources Minister Lee Jourenaq, during his official visit to China, according to the Saudi News Agency (SPA).
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the two sides discussed the prospects for fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the fields of water and agriculture, and to enhance the strategic partnership to serve the targets of sustainable development, and contribute to the expansion of trade exchange and the exchange of modern experiences and technologies.
Al -Fadhli discussed with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, cooperation in the fields of agriculture and food security, the opportunities to use modern technologies and the adoption of modern agricultural systems, the most prominent of which are closed systems in greenhouses and intensive education of living organisms with high standards and international specifications.
During a separate meeting, the Saudi minister discussed with the Chinese Minister of Water Resources Lee Gwyng, ways to face the challenges of water scarcity through joint projects, and reviewed the Kingdom’s plans to launch dam projects with the participation of Chinese companies, and benefit from the Chinese experience in building dams.
