They were born on the same day at the same hospital, they attended the same school, but it wasn’t until 30 years later that they fell in love with each other.
Minnesota natives Elizabeth Christensen and Joshua Colbert met in April 2023 through the dating app Hinge. What they didn’t know at the time was that they were in the same class when they were children.
“She asked me where I grew up and I said I grew up in Andover and went to Northside Christian School. And she said, “No kidding, I went to kindergarten there too.” And then we found out that we graduated in (1995), so we were like, ‘Maybe we were in the same kindergarten class,'” the 35-year-old told CBS News.
As a matter of fact, when they looked at their class photo, they saw that they were both there, but the similarities did not stop there. Indeed, both born at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, they share the same date of birth: September 13, 1988.
After meeting in person, they also noticed that their personalities had similarities as well.
“Despite the fact that we could have had all these similarities, but been complete opposites. And that’s not the case at all. So, I feel like it was just the perfect match. And yes, I think it was divine, that’s for sure,” said Joshua Colbert.
To crown all these happy coincidences, the couple decided to get married… on September 13, 2023, during the 35th anniversary of Elizabeth Christensen and Joshua Colbert.
“Our kindergarten teacher, we were able to track her down and we sent her an invitation and she showed up. And not only did she introduce herself, but she found a photo of us together at an athletics day,” the woman told the American media.
