American rapper Megan Thee Stallion is accused of harassment by her former cameraman, who accuses her of fatphobia and claims to have been forced to witness a sexual relationship between the artist and another woman.

Emilio Garcia also accuses the star of having underpaid him, in a complaint filed Tuesday in a Los Angeles court.

The cameraman began working in 2018 for the rapper, notably known for her tracks “WAP” and “Hot Girl Summer”.

According to his complaint, he was forced to witness sex between Megan Thee Stallion and another woman during a car ride during a trip to the Spanish island of Ibiza in June 2022.

The cameraman “could not get out of the car because it was rolling,” and was “mortified (…) throughout this ordeal,” insists the complaint.

The day after this incident, he claims that the singer warned him, telling him “never talk about what you saw”.

During the same trip, the rapper increased the fatophobic attacks against him, according to the complaint: she gave him orders like “spit out your food”, or “you don’t need to eat”, and went so far as to to insult him.

A few weeks later, in August 2022, the cameraman’s remuneration was changed.

Instead of receiving a package of $4,000 per month, he had to agree to be paid by the task, without changing his intensive work schedule to follow the singer.

This “new billing system resulted in Plaintiff earning significantly less because the amounts billed did not accurately reflect actual time and effort,” the complaint explains.

The cameraman ended up protesting against his working conditions and the singer decided in June 2023 to stop using his services.

“Megan just needs to pay our client what he is owed, take responsibility for his actions and stop this kind of sexual harassment and grossophobic behavior,” denounced Ron Zambrano, the cameraman’s lawyer.

The complaint concerns only working relations, and “no complaint of sexual harassment has been filed,” responded Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, to the Page Six site.

The lawyer regretted that the cameraman included “salacious accusations to try to embarrass him.”

The rapper has already made headlines in the celebrity press, when Canadian rapper Tory Lanez shot her in the feet after a drunken Hollywood evening in 2020. Facts for which he received ten years in prison last summer .
