A group of teenagers allegedly ransacked a Nike store in Los Angeles before fleeing with nearly $12,000 worth of merchandise as stunned customers looked on.
It was shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday that the 17 suspects – four girls and 13 boys aged 15 and 20 – showed up at the shopping center in five vehicles, the Los Angeles police (LAPD) said in a communicated.
The young thieves had their faces hidden and quickly began looting the store. In a video shared on YouTube by the police force, we see the suspects filling large blue garbage bags before running away, some grabbing clothes as they go.
“One of the suspects was wearing a distinctive hooded sweatshirt bearing the logo of a bonsai tree and the words “Ritual of the Spirit.”
The suspect’s vehicles were described as a beige four-door Infiniti, a gray KIA SUV, a white Honda, a four-door KIA and a black Audi, said the Los Angeles Police Department’s Commercial Crimes Division, Group Organized Retail Crime Task Force (ORCT).
