Are you from Quebec and living in the United States? The Journal may need your help in the context of a unique file in view of the American election on November 5.
Less than a month before an American election full of twists and turns which unleashes passions and arouses a lot of concern, The Journal prepares a special file for you.
Our series of testimonies will help you better understand various local and national issues through the eyes of expatriate Quebecers.
What will happen to abortion rights if Donald Trump becomes president again? How to talk politics with neighbors who have a rigid point of view without causing an argument? Can we live and age well in the United States if we are not rich? How can you send your children to school without fear when shooters have fired nearby?
All states represented
Some Quebecers have lived in the United States for decades by personal choice and have started families there. Others have recently settled there for several reasons (work, study, love) and are still trying to acclimatize to this different culture which is sometimes confusing.
Some states are more familiar and popular for Quebecers (New York, Florida, Maine, California), but we also want to highlight lesser-known realities in less touristy areas.
Here are the states where we are still looking for Quebecers: Alaska, Connecticut, Montana and Wyoming.
Do you live in one of these states or know someone who does? The Journal would like to talk to you about the issues that affect your part of the country directly or indirectly.
