Qatar Airways won the “Best Airline in the World” award for the eighth time in a row during the 2024 Skytrax World Awards.
The Qatari carrier also won 3 distinguished awards:
- Award (Best Business Class in the World)
- Award (Best Business Class Lounge in the World)
- Award (Best Airline in the Middle East).
Qatar Airways is once again at the forefront as the best airline in the world.
The Qatari carrier won many prestigious awards at the Skytrax World Awards 2024 in London, which included:

Hamad Airport
Earlier this year, Hamad International Airport, the headquarters of Qatar Airways’ operations, won the “Best Airport in the World” award for 2024 and the “Best Airport in the Middle East” award for the tenth time, while Qatar Duty Free, the owner and operator of all retail outlets, won the award. And restaurants at Hamad International Airport won the “Best Airport for Shopping in the World” award for the second year in a row.
This is the first time that Qatar Airways, Hamad International Airport and Qatar Duty Free have been crowned best in the world in all three Skytrax categories.
This is the eighth time since 2011 that Qatar Airways has achieved the title of best airline in the world by Skytrax International.
The Skytrax World Airline Awards represent the highest level of excellence, as they are considered the Oscars of the aviation sector.
Qatar Airways Group CEO, Engineer Badr Mohammed Al Meer, said: “Qatar Airways is proud that travelers have chosen it as the best airline in the world. This achievement is a testament to our continued dedication to providing innovative and unparalleled services.”
