(Minneapolis) Donald Trump’s emissary in Minneapolis, Tom Homan, announced on Wednesday the withdrawal of 700 immigration police while ensuring that he would remain there until “everything is over” in this city in the north of the United States, shaken by the death of two demonstrators.

“We have never had this kind of cooperation at this level” with local authorities, Tom Homan also welcomed during a press conference.
He did not specify whether this was a withdrawal from just the city of Minneapolis or from the state of Minnesota more generally.
For weeks, thousands of federal police officers, including armed and often masked agents, have increased raids in the Minneapolis region to arrest undocumented people, a priority objective of the American president.
“We have made significant progress,” added Tom Homan, saying that federal agents had arrested 139 people convicted of assault, 87 sex offenders as well as 28 gang members.
Their methods, considered brutal, as well as the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, two demonstrators who opposed their presence, shot and killed by federal agents in Minneapolis, caused great emotion in the country.
