(Washington) The head of the FBI said Friday that a “potential terrorist attack” planned for Halloween weekend in Michigan had been foiled.
“This morning, the FBI thwarted a potential terrorist attack and arrested several people in Michigan suspected of planning a violent attack over Halloween weekend,” Kash Patel wrote on X.
The head of the federal police said that more details will follow this announcement.
In a Facebook post, Dearborn police said the FBI made arrests early Friday morning in this suburban Detroit city.
“We would like to reassure our residents: there is currently no threat to the population,” she said.
