An admirer of Madonna, who attended one of the concerts of her “Celebration” tour last March, accused the American singer of having exposed her fans to unwanted sexual content without warning.
“Forcing viewers to wait for hours in hot, uncomfortable locations and subjecting them to pornography without warning is a demonstration of Madonna’s casual lack of respect for her fans,” Justen Lipeles argued Wednesday in a complaint filed in court. Superior of Los Angeles County, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The spectator, who attended the “Celebration Tour” concert on March 7 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, allegedly accused the singer and her team of negligent misrepresentation of intentional infliction of emotional distress and false advertising, according to the court document.
Because according to him, the singer’s admirers would have been subjected to scenes of “pornography without warning”, in particular “topless women on stage simulating sexual acts” in an already uncomfortable environment, noted the American media.
According to her, the diva herself asked to close the air conditioning in the performance hall, so that the air became stifling for her fans.
Among the accusations, the man also allegedly deplored the lateness of the singer, who only went on stage around 10 p.m., while the concert was supposed to start at 8:30 p.m., according to Entertainment Weekly.
Madonna is already the subject of several complaints in court for her “unreasonable” tendency to start her concerts late, while she is accused of having made her fans wait up to two hours after the announced start of a concert last December, in a class action lawsuit filed in April.
A similar complaint was filed against her in 2019, before being voluntarily withdrawn by the complainant a month later, recalled Entertainment Weekly.
