Two photos of JD Vance dressed as a woman, allegedly taken while he was attending Yale Law School in 2012, have resurfaced. Many people on social media are surprised to see the running mate dressed like this, given that he now advocates for anti-LGBTQ+ policies.

It was a friend of a former classmate of Vance, a certain Travis Whitfill, who leaked the first photo on Sunday, reports the American media. Daily BeastThe photo, which is believed to have come from a chat group, was taken at a Halloween party, he said.
Whitfill, who says he doesn’t know Vance personally, forwarded the photo to Matt Bernstein, a popular American content creator and podcast host, who shared it with his followers on X and Instagram.
Although the photo has not been officially authenticated, the Republican Party did not deny that it was J.D. Vance when questioned by the Daily Beast.
“From all sources I’ve heard, JD was actually a good guy in law school. I’m not sure what happened after that…” Travis Whitfill recounted in a post.
“I am doing my part for democracy,” he said in another post.
“Hypocrisy”
The website jdvanceindrag.com (JD Vance in drag) was created Sunday to highlight the Republican vice presidential candidate’s “hypocrisy.” The site suggests that visitors donate to the Trevor Project, an organization that helps young trans people.

As a senator from Ohio, JD Vance introduced the Protect Children’s Innocence Act, which would criminalize medical clinics that provide gender-affirming care to minors.
The Republican candidate also spoke out against codifying same-sex marriage.
Strong reactions
On social media, some people are also denouncing the current positions of the Republican Party and JD Vance, while the latter has already disguised himself as a woman.

“A second photo of JD Vance is posted. This diva is Trump’s running mate. I’m not sharing (this photo) to criticize those who do drag, but rather to criticize those who attack drag when they have already enjoyed the art form themselves,” someone wrote on X.
“It’s okay for people, including JD Vance, to express themselves (through drag)! But it’s not okay for Republicans to do it and then turn on people who do drag,” another person added.
“JD Vance has done drag before. Is he also considered by the right to be a predator and a pedophile?” drag queen Yahua Hamasaki finally asked.
