A pastor from New Hampshire, in the United States, took his own life on November 27 after being fired from the Baptist church that hired him due to allegations of sexual misconduct against minors.
Jarrett Booker was employed by Nashua Baptist Church for nearly 10 years, where he worked exclusively with children and adolescents, we learn in the New York Post.
Nashua police were investigating the 37-year-old man on suspicion of committing sexual crimes against children at the time of the suicide, authorities reported to local media.
According to information from the New York Post, the man had not been formally accused at the time he took his own life.
The Hollis Police Department was also on the pastor’s case.
The number of victims and details of the attacks remain unknown.
The investigation continues, despite the death of the suspect.
Booker’s wife says she has been experiencing “a violent mix of emotions” since the events.
“JB had his demons, I won’t pretend he didn’t. His choices caused harm. The hard truth I am learning is that there are questions that will remain unanswered in my lifetime,” she wrote on Facebook.
His mother declined all requests for media interviews.
