A Panera Bread restaurant employee armed with a bread pan repeatedly struck a customer in the head as he began verbally and physically assaulting people in Colorado.
The suspect, Isaac Ross, began wreaking havoc at a branch of the fast food company in the town of Glandale, just outside Denver, on Tuesday, according to reports from the New York Post.
A video taken by a customer shows Mr Ross yelling and throwing several objects across the counter at restaurant staff.
Customers and employees asked the man to calm down and leave, but this apparently made him even more angry.
It was at this point that an employee came to the aid of another customer and punched Isaac Ross.
“My personal hero,” the woman who took the video, Natalie Wiersma, told the American media. “I think it was very effective.”
The victim had to be treated for minor injuries.
