An Ohio police officer was able to save a three-year-old girl by resuscitating her after she lost consciousness following a fall and hit her head.
The body camera video worn by peace officer Soren Osicka, 23, was released by authorities and CNN was able to obtain a copy.
We see the police officer rushing towards the little girl, placing her on the ground and beginning the resuscitation maneuvers which worked.
After a few minutes, the child started crying.
Mr. Osicka, a rookie with the Ashland Police Department, said he was happy to have been able to perform well at the time, despite the fact that he happened to be nearby at the time. the call to 911.
“When the emergency services arrived, I took the little girl in my arms and that’s when she started crying,” he said. Usually when you hear a child crying you might think something is wrong, but this time it was good news.”
The girl was taken to hospital and is doing well.
