The man who was acquitted of murdering his estranged wife Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman in 1995 is reportedly undergoing chemotherapy treatments in the Miami area.
Simpson, 76, played in the NFL from 1969 to 1979. He was a dominant player with the Buffalo Bills, notably winning the league’s MVP award in 1973.
After his football career, he turned to Hollywood, where he starred in a few successful films.
In 1994, he was put in handcuffs after a memorable police chase and was charged with the double murder. Acquitted a year later, he was then found guilty in civil court in 1997 and had to pay $33.5 million to the victims’ families.
Simpson also served prison time from 2007 to 2017 for an armed robbery and kidnapping case.
