An 81-year-old California man who terrorized his neighborhood with a slingshot for almost a decade has been arrested by police.

The police investigation began more than 9 years ago when the octogenarian began targeting his first victims, sowing real terror in a peaceful neighborhood of Azusa, about forty kilometers from Los Angeles.
The 81-year-old man was arrested last weekend by police following a search warrant of his home where they found the slingshot and ball bearings he was throwing from his garden .
Lieutenant Jake Bushey, who mentioned that no one was injured by the slingshot, told local media that he did not understand the real motive for the suspect’s actions, other than “simple acts of malevolence.”
The octogenarian was due to appear in court on Tuesday, while his weapon of choice with which he terrorized the neighborhood was seized by the police, added the American media.
