(New York) A teenager opened fire and injured three people near Times Square, before being arrested announced a New York police spokesman on Saturday.
The injured, aged 19 to 65, were hospitalized in a stable state. The incident took place around 1:20 am, she said.
The shots were preceded by a verbal altercation, according to the spokesperson.
“The attacker was arrested and a firearm was seized,” she said.
Images showing a panic crowd have been disseminated on social networks, without AFP being immediately able to confirm its authenticity.
At the end of July, a man armed with an assault rifle killed four people before killing himself in a New York skyscraper.
